suspension height calibration. I have read from a d3 owner that some times the discovery height can go out of calibration for upto 8cm. I might be worrying but I do think other d3's sit higher in normal ride height than mine, although not found one i can park next to and check. With 18 inch rims any chance some one can measure from ground to
Once you hit 25 mph it throws a red suspension fault: do not exceed 30 mph. We checked over the LR3 ourselves and found that the front valve block was broken. We replaced it. The car then raised to normal height, acted fine for about 10 minutes and then threw an amber suspension light. Not even 30 minutes later the front sank back down.
If the car is started and then i drive off at normal height the fault is triggered very quickly - about 10 secs. But if I start to raise the suspension then the fault doesn’t occur until about 10 seconds after the ride height is met, It rises quite slowly (not sure what the norm is), tasking around 45 seconds.
There is one on every corner of the rig. For a rookie, take the rear tire off for better access and orientation. The wire loom connector is a bear and you may break the "tabs" off by mistake. Be careful. Two Torx screws (#15 or #20) hold the sensor in place. Re-install is the opposite.

Normal Height Only 2008 LR3. OK - with the help of RocketRod's IID Tool some diagnostics today and the plot is thickening so any help appreciated with my first ever major fault code on the vehicle. To recap - Late last week I remember the car gave me a bong on starting and Special Programs Off alert and then drove as per normal.

The 4th generation Discovery, released in 2009, builds off an identical body structure as the 3rd generation, but features many mechanical changes that exponentially increase the automobiles power. Some owners experience an intermittent “Normal Height Only” suspension fault. So that it can more effectively drive off road, the Discovery
I have a 2006 LR3 and have chased issues with the sir suspension using their software was able to isolate a ride height sensor, change it out and adjust without dealer intervention required. I have also along the way through troubleshooting tips discovered in this forum managed to isolate and swap out the front valve block and eventually the
